Bonot builds and leverages gendered spaces – physical, educational, social, and cultural – for observant girls at the threshold of their developmental growth spurt.
Beginning in 7th grade, the Bonot program is designed to hone the skills, knowledge, values and habits that will allow participants to develop personally, socially and academically and to become effective Israeli and global citizens. While fostering curiosity, initiative, and resourcefulness – habits of mind necessary for current and future learning – Bonot highlights the social, participatory nature of “interthinking” as an intellectual transaction in a wider, more diverse field of experience. By adapting the principles of Content-Based Instruction (CBI), English language proficiency will also improve as a corollary and outcome of knowledge construction, retention and transfer to multiple contexts. When all is said and done, Bonot aims to educate young adolescent girls for life… in English.
Groups are limited to 8 students.
